SERVING WITH FAIRNESS & COMPASSION
Judge Myron “Mike” Mackoff, a former environmental attorney for the Illinois Attorney General’s Office, believes that everyone deserves a fair and independent hearing in their day in court, regardless of race, gender, religion or sexual orientation. They also deserve an experienced, knowledgeable judge who is both compassionate and well prepared.
Appointed to the Circuit Court of Cook County by the Illinois Supreme Court, Judge Mackoff currently is assigned to Family Court hearing cases involving divorce, child visitation and orders of protection. He is widely praised for his work ethic and dedication to community service.
In 2008 Mike Mackoff received an award for Excellence in Pro Bono Work from the Circuit Court of the Northern District of Illinois and the Federal Trial Bar, stemming from a civil rights matter he was able to settle for a client who had been through six other court-appointed attorneys. He was repeatedly named a “Super-Lawyer” by Law & Politics and Chicago Magazine.
Judge Mackoff is now running for a full term in Chicago’s 8th Sub-Circuit.
“Myron Mackoff is an excellent addition to the bench. He is fair and even handed, all the qualities you want in a judge.”
“I have known Judge Mackoff for years. He was an excellent lawyer and now he is an excellent judge.”
“Mike served as a volunteer attorney for Elder Law & Wellness Initiative & we support his bid to retain his seat on the bench”
